  1. What would be a good steam cleaner for carpets and upholstery ? This machine was in the steam cleaner list but i guess it aint one😭

  2. Aerogarden

  3. I’ve had mine 5 years still works well. I have the pet lift off version. This is the first machine I’ve owned that didn’t stop spraying over time. It picks up a good amount of the water too unlike other machines.

  4. Hi there! My company is looking forward to get you as our ambassador for our Home cleaning tools. Hope to discuss everything with you. Please email me in sofiafy.websolutions@gmail.com.

  5. I went to use the machine today and I giant get spray or suction. I always store it with the tanks empty and turned wrong side up so the water dries out quickly. I checked to see when I got the machine and it was April 2016. I have only used it about 6 times and thus is the 1st time it has given me any problems. I hope it will go back to working like it should but we shall see.

  6. I’m having trouble getting my bissell lift off to fit back onto the base of the upright, correctly.

  7. So after when I was deep cleaning my carpet there was cat hair balls and debris on my carpet and it was groooooooooss

  8. Billesll and their white privilege racist marketing.

  9. Still the best in 2020 but you can’t buy them anymore unfortunately

  10. What about higher pile carpet?

  11. I’ll take you both the machine for cleaning and her to run it…

  12. You are moving too fast with that machine, try lots slower and remember, because the vac is not much, you need to go slow over the shampoo to pick up most of the water.

  13. FYI that’s not all cat hair you sucked up. Those are carpet fibers. This machine is extremely abrasive and probably shouldn’t be used on all types of rugs/carpet. I had clumps of rug fibers coming out after use.

  14. Got this 2 years ago, I wouldn’t recommend it, the hose breaks.

  15. I cant get the screws into the handle what screwdriver do you use? Seems.like the screws go deep inside the holes and it’s hard to screw lol

  16. Hello! Just wondering if your Bissell still works?

  17. Please review Hoover Professional power scrub elite pet plus upright pet carpet cleaner. ( boy, that’s a mouth full) this machine is supposed to deep clean, keep the water hot, and cut down the drying time on carpets to 45 minutes or less.
    Thanks.

  18. It’s a Bissell liftoff deep cleaning system

  19. I agree with you its bulky and heavy as well as it it not a steamer . Unless, you put hot water in it on your own. It will aid in lifting out stains but by far not a steamer nor does the water stay hot. The only thing I would change is the speed of the rotating brushes . The machine takes for ever to clean, it’s super slow but after awhile the carpet gets clean. The solution of the cleaner gets pricey therefore I use LA Awesome cleaner. My favorite part is the detachable portion. I clean my car carpets, stairs and they look new all year round. Long term It is easy to replace parts. I have mine over 9 years if you want to get one cheap save up your Kohls cash or Walmart. I purchased mine for 188.00 when originally it was 349.00 many years ago. I love this machine and also have the cordless sweeper and vacuum. All the parts are affordable and my vacuum is over 21 years old. Still running like new. I would totally never buy a hoover verses a Bissell.

  20. significant lapse in instruction when you show the dirty tank you only show dumping it and not taking the lid off. How do you get the lid off?

  21. Can you give me one please. 😁

  22. Pretty face. Am sure shes going to get married to a very caring and nice man and have a very happy family and in laws!

  23. Prettiest cleaning lady ever. 😂

  24. We love your video, great job. Thank you

  25. The audio on this video is not working correctly. Could the person who posted it, please look into it? You’re welcome.

  26. Thank you so much for telling how to actually use the machine….like the buttons, you don’t know how many YouTube video’s I had to watch in order to find out when to press the button and when to let it go……..I love this machine now I know how to use it…….

    1. Annette Straley same here…looked every where for such a simple instruction. It doesnt say in the manual and wasnt sure if u was doung it right. It seems mine stillnlets out water when the button isn’t being pushed…so i was confused.

  27. Your “review” sounds more like you’re advertising for Bissell.

  28. How long does it take for couch to dry??

  29. Bought it months ago and didn’t use it until our new (big) puppy had hot steamy diarrhea on the carpet. After scraping up the puppy goo with a joint knife, I followed up with the Bissell Lift off (Pet) cleaner. It did an amazing job. But that was its virgin journey. We’ll see how it holds up through time. Now I have to figure out how to empty the dirty tank.

  30. I’d purchased the lift off about 4 years ago and has worked great. It’s saved my carpet from having to be replaced. My roommate has two big dogs that are not housebroken. This shampooer got out the smell and the markings. It does need to be kept clean after each use or you may have a suction issue, but it’s pretty quick and easy to access the filters. If and when it decides to die I’ll be replacing it with a the same.

  31. It’s an overpriced piece of shit. Whoever designed this has never had to clean a damn thing!

  32. Good review, do you of any carpet cleaner and steam sanitizers combo?

  33. I thought the directions were vague on where the attachments are stored on the machine. Also, I put the 4 screws in tight, but the handle still wobbles. Is it me?

  34. you never showed how to turn off and on or assembling

  35. Melissa, did your machine pull up most of the water that was put down? I have one, taken it to repair store, which was a joke. But I am lucky to pick up 20% of the water that went down. Just curious, I want to believe I made a good purchase, unfortunately I am not.

  36. I have this. Works great. I got the lift off version so I can use it to clean the carpet in my vehicles.

    1. Marinero69 let me know how it goes

    2. I do auto detailing, do you think it might stand to that challenge.I have a big extractor too bulky. Thanks in advance….

    3. Great idea!

  37. mine doesnt spray anymore. Any idea why?

    1. Yea mine quit spraying too and after researching, ALOT of people are complaining of the same problem.

  38. Thank you for this review!! Just what I needed to know about my Bissell.

  39. You’re not bare foot; did you actually clean the carpets? Thank you from a serious viewer.

  40. bought one 🙂

  41. How do I clean the suction gate on my Bissell?

    1. I don’t know if you have figured this out, but there is 2 screws on the gate at the bottom, take them out (phillips screw) and lift upward.

  42. Do you still have it

  43. My landlord let me borrow this product with no instructions so this video was super helpful!

  44. Vacuum the carpet thoroughly before hand and you’ll get better results.

    1. I’ve been looking for this answer about a different bissell vac I have. Not the answer I wanted tho😩 I don’t want to vacuum twice

    2. Yes, this is not a vacuum and you don’t want to make mud. Don’t think, you can paint with latex paint and no carpet shield- you can not just steam / carpet clean the paint you get on the carpet. I know someone really well whom I was helping paint and she thought this was okay to do – NO, IT IS NOT!

  45. Review the i robot roomba 560

  46. Are you still there?! I found your channel because I’m looking for a steam cleaner for my home. THERE ARE SO MANY!!! Plus, I am 54 & hubby is 64 and a 100% disabled veteran so it can’t be heavy or expensive and we’re needing a portable one to clean & disinfect our granite countertops etc, but mostly, I’m going to paint my kitchen cabinets and want to clean them before I paint them. Please help us Our budget is about $85. Can you help us??! Thank you for your time!! 😊👍✌️. Oh and I’m painting this week so….WELL, I JUST FOUND YOU!! Lol

  47. wondering if you’ve done a review for the bissel proheat 2x revolution. if not I look forward to it. thanks

  48. Thanks for the tips.I will not be purchasing this machine for the fact of no heat, the wand doesn’t have rolling brushes.

  49. I just watched the whole video in hopes of finding out how to remove the top from the dirty water bin; you skipped that part entirely and just showed the bin with the top already off. You’d think it would be obvious, but it’s not. This machine regurgitates when you turn the motor off, which puts the nasty water straight back into the carpet. I turned the machine off and moved it to the hardwood floor, and in an hour’s time, the regurgitated water had stained the hardwood floor. Very disappointing.

  50. We just purchased a Bissel Lift-Off Deep Cleaner Model 66E1 similar to the one you reviewed and we can’t fine where you wrap the cord when not in use. If you know the answer, please let us know! Thanks

  51. I have a bissell proheat 2x premier and a bissell lift off

  52. What vacuum cleaner do you use

  53. Can you use this as a vacuum only

  54. Hello, decent review. Did you know each model comes with different attachments? the one you showed Vs the 1 i bought — though both the same — mine never came with 2 attachments like yours. Called Bissel and they explained why. So I ended up buying 2 off of them and they convered the shipping. Great Customer Service at Bissel.

  55. Just got one – VERY GOOD.  I fee the Hoover cleaning solution makes the rugs brighter than the Bissell Pet solution- yes, I have white carpeting and the difference is obvious!  I found a nasty, wet dog poop stain had dried in(of course, in the middle of the large room!) – cleaning  it on three separate days got it fully out, “No Returns” or shadows of those spots.  It uses lots of fluid, so refilling is often – but the fresh and dirty tanks keep pace with each other.  My OLD BISSELL PRO PET needed a new pump – and “junky” doesn’t come close to describing those parts of the OLD MODEL..  This new model has far  fewer parts, much better section, and (hopefully) a better pump. BTW – mine came with an upholstery brush and a crevice tool (very useful) – not TWO hand brush tools. The cord and hose management areas are excellent – unlike the old one.  The brushes do not spin when the handle is upright – so you don’t need to turn it of, although I wouldn’t leave it running with no water in it (the heater might suffer).f.  The old ProPet model would make large, nasty furballs which would spit out the side at speed – this one, less so.  My only complaint is the dirty water heading into the tank is difficult to see when running the machine – hard to tell if it’s coming out of the carpet as clean as you’d like.  I only flood carpet when there’s a stain that doesn’t come out easily – if you have no need to, don’t overdo it.  I seriously don’t think the “steam” unitscan  reach deep into carpet and backing – and you don’t really want it to.  Getting your carpet backing and pad wet is NOT a good idea. One last point – Bissell makes a “professional” cleaner solution which is the ONLY ONE capable of attacking MOLD and MILDEW.  The others :”hint” that they do.  I’ve only been able to find it on the company website or Ebay.  If you have a serious odor problem AFTER shampooing, try that solution.  To sum, THIS is the model the other should have been.  The LIFT OFF seems gimmicky, but it’s not.  I hope it lasts well.

  56. I purchased the 66E12 model and love it!  Thanks for your video!!!  It helped me to make the decision!

  57. @Clean My Space Can you do a review of a Dry Foam Carpet Cleaner? This is a liquid foam you can spray on and use a sponge mop or a brush to agitate, wait until dry and vacuum up the dirt.

My Bissel Quick Steamer was purchased in 2003 and its an amazing water extraction machine for the price paid (currently $119 at Wall-Mart). This is a lightweight carpet cleaning machine, its inexpensive, and after eleven years of regular use, its still does an awesome job!

  58. Planning to buy. Family with 2 kids, n my carpets getting too messy

  59. Hi Melissa! Can a mixture of bleach and water be used with a carpet deep cleaner to clean carpets?

    1. I added a little bleach

  60. I have owned many carpet shampooers over the years and I just recently bought this one in blue.  So far it is my favorite one by far!  great investment!

  61. I have one in Blue I wish I had the Red one just like you.

  62. I love bissel… i have the pro heat healthy home vacuum/carpet upholestry shampoo which does hardfloors aswell with the water filter in it… love it i had the lil green machine and the deep cleaner for carpets and hardwood floors and then decided to upgrade and get an all in one…

    1. Bissel healthy home pro heat all rounder… is what its called…

  63. Very helpful! Thanks

  64. Used mine for the first time 2 days ago… i can see why you like it.    I got a quart of dirty water from just one single living room chair.

    1. how many times do u have to fill it up to do a room ? the tank seems small ?

    2. I know, pretttttty gross, right?

  65. I’ve got one, was $699 in Australia

    1. GASP!!!

  66. i have 1 of the cheaper virsions  £99.99 i used 2 do soaping a while ago and my son got hold of my soaping dyes and tiped them on my bedroom carpet and his room carpet i did not pre treat any of them and bering in mined it had been there MONTHS it got most of it out but still a bit of a stain there but i can easly treat it and go ova it again 🙂 there worth the money and i have also found if u spill liquid on a hard floor dont get down on your hands a knees 2 mop it up just get it out empty put the sucktion on a bingo cleaned up i also clean my rugs with it aswell 🙂 trying 2 save 2 get my own because i shere it with my mom and keep having 2 drive it bk and forth is a pain might save up a bit more 2 get a more exspensive 1 thow 🙂

  67. how many gallons does the water tank have

  68. hey, what about the hardwood floor???? can we used this machine??? please answer asap,,,

    1. no….. its a carpet cleaner. use a mop

    2. Obviously not

  69. You got a perty mouth.

  70. I love my machine but I am wondering if I am doing this right..I cleaned a bedroom, a 10×10 rug and a sunroom.  It only used half the water.  Shouldn’t it have used all the water or more.  I used the trigger back and forth and then went over it without the trigger.

  71. And let me apologize just in case you’ve already answered these questions in a previous post.  I am willing to admit that I was way too lazy to check the other 68 posts to see!  🙂

  72. Hello Melissa!  Thanks so much for the review. First to answer your question this video did help me with my carpet cleaner purchase decision.  I decided to go with this machine but now I’m in the market for a steam cleaner to disinfect the carpet and upholstery around my house.  I have 2 little ones and nanny a 3rd so disinfecting is my life right now!  I did watch your review of the ladybug steamer and although it is an awesome machine it’s just not in my budget right now.  Any recommendations?  Would you go with Bissell again (they have the handheld Steam Shot) or, after using it over time, did you like the Shark brand steamer you reviewed?   Thanks for reading my comment and I look forward to your reply!!

  73. AND the wole point of cleaning carpets is to have the carpet soaked in HOT Water with cleaner, scrubbing it, and Sucking up the dirty water…If you go fast, your applying no water and the vacuume doesnt get a chance to suck up the water….Slow and steady wins the race. 🙂

    1. u did fine, ignore negative comments, nothing wrong with your review.

    2. The footage was sped-up 300% in post production.

  74. I hope you know that you are suppose to go SLOW on the carpets right???? you kept rolling it over back and forth WWAAYYY too fast. I own this and only 2-3 Real Slow Passes cleans the carpet… this fast passing does not work right… next time… go sslloowwwwww.

    1. do her floors look dirty? no.

    2. Go slow: That’s what she said.

    3. PLUS SHE SPEEDED UP THE VIDEO BOOIIIII

  75. I see a previous response about drying time was about 2hrs. I have a slightly different question. How good is the suction? About how much of the fluid that is applied is sucked back up? Do you think the parts & components are durable? How often do you use it and is it still in good running condition? thx.

  76. What about rinsing after applying the cleaning formula.

  77. I just ordered this on line & since we are moving & going back renting a house (away) for a few years we hope this cleaner is what we need. If I can I will post in a month or so after we have used it to clean our apartment carpet in our home that we are listing for sale.

  78. How do you clean the tanks. After use. Before storing it.

  79. Expensive but great btw found it at jcpenny for 80 bucks less than anywhere else

  80. Have it and love it!
With kids and pets I have to go over the carpet at least twice to get all the nastiness up, and it does take overnight to dry, but its worth it.

  81. hello, my question is how long have you noticed it takes your carpet to dry? and is there and how often do you use your machine?

  82. I have this machine. The only question I have is can you raise the head of the cleaner? It seems hard to push and pull back and forth. Am I doing something wrong?

  83. Oh he isnt doing too bad..plus he was making life miserable for our cat..he ran away from home! lol Now cats happy, and the dogs are happy. They’ve all got it pretty good i think. These Daschunds are massive bundles of ENERGY!

  84. Nothing will stain this carpet…wine, ect… (oil, grease will clean up perfectly but takes a little more time) its really amazing stuff. And like anything there are different grades from low to hi, but even the lower grade is every bit as good..just not as soft maby.

  85. Hi Melissa, Smartstrand is a Dupont product..been out for a few years now. its a new classification of fiber that is actually made out of PET a type of polyester. (not your typical poly) This stuff will not stain, crush ,loose color ect.. Our daschund likes to mark so hes been demoted to outside for some time now (but comes in at night to our room) anyway, he did manage to mark a cpl times and holly crap, little warm water and it is GONE never to return 🙂 Did our entire home with it!

  86. I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! My sister spilled NAIL POLISH on my carpets, and i’ve tryied everything from deepcleaning to disinfectant to nail polish remover…….(fellow cleaning expert dont fail me now.)

  87. Do you know of any steamer that is for home use and decent? I need a steamer.

  88. Did the stains come back? Thank god for smartstrand carpet… I just couldnt clean the old stuff…3 weeks after a steam clean…they came back! Glad you like the Bissell..and cool videos Ive just ordered a dupray steam machine thats why im searching cleaning videos

  89. Got 1 🙂 and love it!!!

  90. I bought this carpet cleaner simply because it looked like it could do the job, and boy does it do it alright. My carpet was so filthy this beast just ripped up every square inch of dirt it could find. It’s so good, after about shampooing the carpet twice and then rinsing it did I notice it couldn’t find much more dirt.

Very powerful cleaner, just get it , don’t settle for any lower model.

  91. Video idea – Your top 5 or 10 store-bought cleaners/cleansers/cleaning products…What goes on your shopping list. Thx!

  92. Did you vacuum the whole carpet first?

  93. Thanks for the review. My wife and I were looking for a new cleaner this helped a lot. As soon as we watched this, she says, “go buy it now”. So I did. I guess our older Hoover was not working too well because OMG the cat hair and dirt we pulled up was amazing…and we had just cleaned it a couple of days ago. This thing works really well.

  94. This review convinced me not to buy it. It’s $200+ where I live and as you noted isn’t really a steam cleaner. Just doesn’t seem worth it. Maybe if I had carpet and pets as you noted.

  95. Do you think one of these would be worth it if you only use it for area rugs? (Ie no carpet)

  96. I vacuum my door mats once a week as well as clean the surrounding area. they are a carpet material
    Alex

  97. Hey Melissa, we have 2 door mats that are so full of crap that it would take some.sort of clean bomb to get them looking new . So I would like to know how to get them clean. They are too big for the washing machine and I have tried to use our bissel hand held with very little success. Help!!! Thanks Alex

  98. Hi Melissa, thanks for all your videos.
does this BISSELL works well with long shag carpet?
    Thanks

  99. Got my wife a Bissell for Chruistmas.

  100. i wish melissa would come clean me. sponge bath style

  101. Hey Melissa, great review! 🙂
I was just wondering… I’m going to have a baby soon and I’d like to know which vacuum to rent: a deep cleaning one or a steam one?
My house isn’t very big, but most of it is covered in carpet. Thanks for your advice!

  102. lol I love your sense of humor, Melissa! Love 0:42 x) It makes your videos that much more enjoyable!

  103. Thanks, Melissa. I am slowly reducing the amount of carpet I have in my home, but still have carpet on the stairs. I’ll seriously consider this machine. Weight is a issue, but then, a lot of it is probably the water in the two resevoirs, no?
