  1. Hi Tashina! I just wanted to ask if you can provide some updates. How are you liking the kitchen caddy? And the foaming soap bottle? I’m placing another order with Grove and keep thinking about them, but some people say the caddy doesn’t stay together very well. Have you had any issues? I really want to buy the bubble up sponge soap dispenser. I just wish it came in black instead of white. Our kitchen sink is black enamel, and we’ve been switching appliances to black as they need to be replaced, so I’m not sure about having the white dispenser or white tray/caddy. Also, how do you like the Aunt Fannie’s floor cleaner? I’m going between that one and the Counter Culture probiotic floor cleaner. I cannot decide! Oh, I’m so with you on the watermelon Hubba Bubba too. I loved that stuff! 🙂

    1. You’re welcome!

    2. Tashina Combs Thank you!

    3. I like the caddy overall! There are a few things about the design I’m not crazy about – mostly the lack of drainage. I just dry it out a few days a week and run it through the dishwasher for a good clean too. I do find it stays together well though. I love the foaming soap bottles! They are SO good.

  2. How do you transfer soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and cleaning products from plastic packaging to glass wear? I want to eliminate my plastic packaging but I just do not know how to.

  3. Great video! Do you have hard water? We do, so I always struggle with a dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. They work for a bit, then we get buildup of grit on dishes and stink on clothes. We aren’t in a position to buy a water softener, but those are my last two non-cruelty free hold outs.

  4. Thank you! Going to try the Aunt Fannies Floor Cleaner. I have been looking for something like this.

  5. Very helpful! It’s good to know what works. I make my own liquid soap but I need a glass jar dispenser for it. If you are interested there are plenty of DIY foam soaps. You are already partly there with the foam dispenser.

  6. Anyone know a vegan / cruelty free detergent that has an actual fragrance? I want to be able to smell the freshiness in my clothes and sheets.

    1. Seventh Generation, Whole Foods Brand, Trader Joe’s, Mrs. Meyers, and Grove all make scented ones.

  7. I love these videos; great seeing some of my favorite cruelty free/vegan products and also see new things that I want to try. And love your makeup tutorials. Glad I found your channel!

  8. I never even thought about buying toilet paper made form recycled paper xD I feel like such an idiot now haha

    1. Omg don’t! It’s one of those things that most people don’t think about and, honestly, it’s lower on the priorities list of things to think about. Being able to do so is a privilege for sure.

  9. These kinds of videos are in no way boring! They are extremly helpful! I find that the hardest things to find when transitioning to cruelty free and vegan is cleaning products, especially paper products like paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues. Thank you for everything you do! It is incredibly helpful and made transitioning a lot easier! Much love to you and Justin!

  10. Your Grove hauls are some of my favorite! I love Grove and only know about it because of you, thank you!

  11. Im so happy about this video!! Im going to be moving out with a friend soon and really needed to know what cleaning products are good

  12. I love practical/normal/every day boring things! It’s so helpful to know about products that actually work well that are necessary in life! I hate when I buy a new product and it doesn’t work well. Thanks for sharing! I love seeing these types of videos from you and Rhian 👏🏻👏🏻 Do the vinegar products smell super vinegary? I’ve been wanting to try vinegar for cleaning but man oh man, too much of that feet smell makes me sick! I imagine essential oils cut the smell though for the most part.

  13. I love these videos, please never stop making. I have a subscription from Grove – thanks to you – and I don’t always know whats new or what I should try so seeing these videos are great recommendations.

  14. I tried grove, years ago, & didn’t care for it..but I just heard of Brandless & it’s similar to grove. They have a lot of vegan, gluten products. Claim their CF. And they have reusable, lower waste cleaning products. Could they be LH approved?

    1. I’ve reached out to them and at this time, I don’t feel comfortable saying that they are cruelty-free. From what they told me, their products are made by a lot of brands and they aren’t sure about the animal testing status of all of them, much less ingredients, formulations, etc. It’s similar to store brands – made by other companies and with their logo on it.

  15. Thanks for sharing

  16. You’re not gross lol I LOVE vinegar lol

  17. Love these videos! They are so helpful!

  18. So helpful! Thank you 🌱💕

  19. your household vids are so helpful!!

  20. Great Video! I was super excited when I saw you got the Patch Bandages. I was the Patch Panda Mascot at Natural Products Expo West!! The founder of the company is super nice and down to earth and the company seems to have a lot of integrity!

  21. Love the website and the channel, thanks so much for them 🙂

  22. Just got my grove order in yesterday, now I’m going to put a bunch of this in my next order 😂

  23. I check your website every time I buy something that I don’t know for sure is cruelty-free!

  24. great video I have been looking for a place to get cruelty free household products Will have to checkout Grove . have a great week

  25. Can you please do a review on Public Goods? I love that they have a lot of sustainable products

  26. Tashina I would love an update on the band aids when you use them! We go through a decent amount and I’d love to make the switch if they are good.

  27. I use Pacifica wipes. I know they are cruelty free but are they biodegradeable?? Sometimes I use two on heavy makeup days and so I’m hoping that they are otherwise I’ll need to switch. Thanks for this video:)

    1. Shelby good to know. I’ll look out for them, thanks!

  28. I definitely enjoyed this!! Thank you for the video. Very helpful!!!😻😻😻💙💙💙

  29. Great video! So many wonderful cf brands out there.

Do you have any recommendations for inexpensive, dye free/scent free dryer sheets? Mrs. Meyers breaks me out, and 7th Generation does not work for me AT ALL. I use Trader Joe’s detergent which works great for my sensitive skin, but dryer sheets are rough.

    1. Try dryer balls! They make non wool ones that work to soften your clothing just as good as the sheets, but without all the waste/chemicals being coated on your clothing!

  30. Hi Tashina! Thank you! I have been looking for cruelty free cleaning products and this is a big help! Have you any video’s on cruelty free laundry supplies? Sending good vibes and frirndship from Canada!💖

  31. I love your household hauls!!!! They’re so helpful🤗

  32. This type of video is always so useful! I love it! Thank you Tashina for sharing it!

    Much love to you! ❤️

  33. I love all your videos! Even the “boring” household cleaning ones. Have you checked Etsy for a bigger soap dish?

  34. love Aunt Fannies,,but I really go thru cleaing wipes…so the price point for 35 wipes would not work for me…ugh…great video really helpful…I am still a Biokleen girl!!! xxx

  35. Oh wow! I had no idea Bon Ami is Cruelty-Free!!! Oh, that makes me so happy!! I love Seventh Generation products.

  36. I needed this thank you😍🤗🤗

  37. Yeees all of these recommendations are so helpful! I’ll be moving in the summer and I am a neat freak as well. I’ll keep these cleaning staples in mind!

  38. LOVED this video. I really want to start using Grove. But, I don’t want glass containers anywhere my bare feet go… are their plastic containers not refillable or recyclable?

  39. “I wanted to smell it, so I ordered it.” -Me on the Lush website

  40. I also like the smell of vinegar. 😏

  41. What about a bamboo trivet from the kitchen wares section of stores? I have a bamboo trivet on my stove. It’s about 8”x8” in size.

  42. Yes! I love these ‘practical tips’ kind of videos! I nerd out over boring kitchen stuff! 🤪 Thanks for sharing! 😊

  43. My issue is that I like with other people who don’t buy CF, makes it difficult

    1. Kornii Then you are doing what YOU can. There is nothing more that a person can do than what they can do. If you stop fashing yourself over what you can not do, you will be able to celebrate the small things you CAN and ARE doing.

    2. @Plain E Grace I do buy what I can, but living with other people who don’t contribute makes it difficult.

    3. It doesn’t have to. You can buy some of the stuff for the house, and when you buy, you buy cruelty-free. It is not an all-or-nothing thing… every little bit helps.

  44. Did you know there are actually tops with pumps you can buy for mason jars now! It’s pretty cool.

    1. @Tashina Combs ohhhh lol…dang…we should trade then. I have more petite canning jars than lrg lol

    2. I did! We only have the giant ones though. It would look so goofy!

  45. Thank you for the video! I am going to have to check this out! Also I just got the Method Squirt + Mop Wood Floor cleaner in the Almond scent. Smells delicious. So I wouldn’t get that from them when I can get it for the same price at Target. BUT some of the other things you mentioned I think I might have a look at. And I do think this is a good idea especially if you are very busy or you don’t have access to a lot of stores❤

    1. I totally agree. It’s great for easy access to brands and sometimes things are a lot cheaper on Grove than in stores too.

  46. I really enjoy these practical/household videos!! It’s nice to change it up from the usual beauty content every so often. That watermelon hand soap sounds so yummy 👌🏼

    1. I agree. It’s fun to film something different and I always love seeing different things on other channels.

  47. I have the tray and sponge get set in my kitchen, love!! I got the wildflower print one for my bathroom sink for my soap bar holder and lotion etc…

    1. Oh! I’m glad you like them! The trays are honestly so handy to have around the house.

  48. I love Grove so much!

    1. Same! What are your Grove standbys?

  49. I think Rihan (is that how you spell her name? No?) showed a big steel or aluminum tray that you could store several bar soaps/products on in a video.

    1. Rhian has! I am hoping to find a wooden one in specific though.

  50. Rhian has a metal soap tray that she has featured in her videos that is larger than the bamboo one.

    1. I looked into that one, but I am hoping to find a wooden one in specific though.

  51. Watermelon 🍉 hand soap!! Yum! A must for summer!

    1. I hope they release more in the scent!

  52. Yay! Exactly what I need! Thank you!!!

  53. I started using Grove last year and I love it. Their customer service is awesome too.

    1. It really is! They are a great company.

  54. Hello spring cleaning! 🌺🌸 thanks for making this video!

  55. I love the practical household product videos

    1. Thank you! I think they are good to toss in now and again.
