  1. Can it kill the Coronavirus ? I’d expect your video to be more popular now since the covid-19 pandemic.

  2. thank you melissa!

  3. Rubbing alcohol will stain your hard wood floor

  4. Isopropyl alcohol is a non-polar linear solvent, its going to dissolve the finish right off the surface of the wood. It also pulls moisture out of the wood as it dries, like how hand sanitizer makes your hands dry. I’m sure if the floors were really bad and stained this would be perfect since it is actually chemically etching the surface of the wood almost like you ran a sander over top. But using this often will leave your hardwood completely unprotected. Afterall isopropyl alchohol is just an ethanol molecule with an added isopropyl molecule binded to it to prevent you from drinking it, so that way the government can control the liquor taxes. It’s essentially paint thinner.

  5. I can make it myself. Just got instructions from woodprix website and I’m ready for do it 😀

  6. Way to make your floors flammable! Unsubscribe yall!

  7. Don’t Use Rubbing Alcohol on Hard floors because Rubbing Alcohol will dry out the wood and it will leave it dull finish
Melissa please don’t use Alcohol on the Hard floors
    use Vinager helps your hardfloors
Don’t Use Rubbing Alcohol please don’t do that

  8. I tried rubbing alcohol on my hardwood floor it worked great, that is until I dropped a lit joint on it and the whole damn floor caught fire ! Luck I had a fire extinguisher handy.

  9. I do have HW floors with polyurethane coating. Could I use a Microfiber twist mop instead of a sponge/cloth using the alcohol as a cleaning agent? What about essential oils & couple drops of soap? Thanks.

    1. +Anjuli M. Personally I use a sander on it with #2 fine grit sandpaper. It takes everything off quick and easy !

  10. So the soap, water, vinegar method is equally effective to the rubbing alcohol, water method? So pick one or the other, don’t need both?

    1. soap is more of a pain though, can leave a sticky residue

  11. Hi. How does one clean an unfinished hard wood floor? Leitner, B.

  12. I just moved in to a new apartment, and since my restroom floor is wooden floor, I had no idea how to wash it. till I watch this video you’re a life saver lol, Thank you!

  13. This will probably destroy the finish on hardwood floors.

    1. not really, lol, evaporates too quickly

    2. @Candace Regina No.

    3. And cause a huge fire in just one accident! Entire hourse will erupt in flames.

  14. Just bought a house with hard wood floors. One has a perfume like smell I want to get rid of. The floor itself is beautiful though… but hate the smell. Will 91% proof alcohol get rid of the smell, which I think is from wax? If so, how should I do this? Want to do this before moving in — thanks!

  15. Do you have any tips or a good routine for keeping floors clean whenever you have all hard floors…. like bamboo, tile… and several small children….  I really dislike all hard floors due to the fact that they are NEVER clean…  I have to clean them all at once or else one room just tracks to another….  AHHHH….  with 6 little ones if feels impossible… and a constant defeat and discomfort.  Nothing worse than stepping on crud all the time…. HOUSE SLIPPERS!  Imagine every meal and snack from kitchen…. to everywhere….  6 little trackers to dirty all floors… would appreciate suggestions!  I have thought of getting a smaller inside dog… 🙂

    1. Mighty Arrows Academy don’t get a dog to eat your crumbs, it will not be healthy. get some rugs if you would prefer the crumbs be hidden

  16. hi melissa. i have got strand woven bamboo floors at my place covered with cloudy stick mist & gunk. how do i get rid of it and get the shine back please advise. thanks in advance

  17. Is this good for laminate wood also?

  18. Terrific, I know it will work well on tiles too!

    1. Hey clean my space lady! I love your channel 🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽

  19. She is sexy! My wood need a clean from this lady

    1. what a naughty boy you be!! lol

  20. I’m going to try this on my porcelain tile… Thanks

  21. Y dnt use ever use exact measurements?… I dnt know parts of a product mixed with another part of other products!

    1. clarita salgado parts means equal parts. add them up and do a fraction

  22. What are the exact measurements? I don’t know how much is one part Algol and 4 parts water, thank u

    1. HuneyCouture 1/5 of it is alcohol and 4/5 water because there are 5 parts total

    2. HuneyCouture if you put one bottle of alcohol you refill the same bottle with water four times and mix. The point is that whatever amount of alcohol you add you must add four of the same measurements of water.

  23. Could you mop the floors with it? like, if you got enough of it?

  24. What is rubbing alcohol? I don’t know it, sorry:)

  25. Alcohol does disinfect but only with enough contact time. If it evaporates quickly, then it probably isn’t killing much, if anything. It may have other benefits though.

  26. no Im not sexy thank you very much lol.

  27. Hey Mel, what do you think about using swiffer wetjet?
