How The U.S. Is Dealing With A Medical Supply Shortage | NPR

Hospitals and medical workers across the country are issuing desperate pleas for more medical supplies as coronavirus cases are on the rise. They say they need both PPE, or personal protective equipment, and ventilators. As a result, American workers are producing more to meet the demand, and medical device manufacturers are asking the Trump administration to step in and centralize the distribution of supplies under the Defense Production Act.

  1. Please hang in there guys. Vietnam can finally freely export masks now 😭

  2. The Shortage of PPE for workers on the frontlines of the Pandemic. Some of the shortages in supplies for Frontline Personnel could be addressed by looking at the stealing that is going on in the Medical Supply Systems. There are a lot of people who take equipment and supplies and resale it to turn a profit. In El paso Texas at a Hospital Supply Warehouse the manager of the facility was loading boxes of N-95 Face Mask into the Trunk of his Car. He was apprehended by an El Paso Policeman who was also working part time as a Guard at this Warehouse. This is happening all over the Country, San Diego, Houston, New York. Stop this and it might alleviate some of the shortages.

  3. Our stated beliefs… religious, scientific continually inundates us.. we lose scope of true knowledge… experience gives us new life however. as a being amongst others.. but more tangible reality of a true connection of all beings if ears can bear it.. This paradigm shift must be made. And understood.. the soul is more tangible with empirical evidence than one could imagine for more years than one could imagine. In that, we do have a commonality of understanding.. empirical evidence.. not so much imposed belief.

  4. Today’s perspective word is symbiosis

  5. Belief and understanding microscopic goes macroscopically in the other direction. Entirely out of our vision quite often . . yet witnessed.. to see would sometimes be too much of a distraction. To deliver a message This cryptic puzzle must be understood for Credence sake.

  6. Deaf ears can be found everywhere.. Without help they cannot be opened. Maybe it’s a shock syndrome.

  7. Normalcy and conformity sometimes take on some very bizarre qualities.. should embarrassment circumvent survival? At any cost?

  8. Boy have I been busy. People not entering hospitals realizing these flaws.. New York doctor also parroting the same concerns.. Referring to our Paradigm of science as dogmatic in many respects.. Although his vision yet myopic.. He felt that the ventilators are not being used correctly. And should not be used at all in the case of this so-called virus.. lung muscles in good condition not pneumonia type disorder.. he said lungs not able to handle being forced open

  9. If lungs don’t want to expand to full capacity …comfortably breathe shallow… calmly is the key word.. note the expeditious almost meditative type maintenance that occurs internally.. Dynamics can be felt. With immediate mitigation of discomfort… through this process.. always follow cravings for food and drink as close as possible before and after this process.. never complacent presumptuous ingestion of so-called healthy food matter is allowed.. We are sensory reception beings in many ways.

  10. Can this tragic disclosure be less important.. Can we algebraically realize. Even without the presence of our presumptuously tedious Working Science… what is actually happening here… how can rate of testing be conflated to rate of spread… there are so many obvious things to observe.. Leading to this conclusion.. We are nevertheless fools chasing our tails… and the embarrassment of such a flaw as beings on this planet.. can it impede our vision..

  11. Are we machines without true logic and deductive reasoning? Such a bizarre truth such a horrific truth that cannot be believed in our face… obvious enough psychosomatic factors . . misuse of ventilators and abused induced coma methods killing thousands in hospitals by chance . . visibility of a physical pathogen in their systems without actual deleterious purpose.. lungs spasmodically constricting because of temporarily sensitivity to air.. Being forced into contact with that element. Exacerbating and drying them beyond belief.

  12. How can the obvious not be seen.? A virus that is spreading impossibly.. how can a truth not be seen. Thousands dying in hospitals.. without true cause.. how can this madness persist?

  13. heard nprs garbage biased news on the radio. fuck you commies. npr sucks ass

  14. Listening to Trump try to read aloud is painful. He is so dumb.

    1. so are you

  15. Hitting the violent, dysfunctional generational welfare state people of color community the hardest. Plz pass the popcorn. Sad.

  16. You know you are serious about your books when you have a library ladder for your book shelves. Rock it, Camila! But seriously, thanks for the great reporting, NPR.

  17. NPR was great reporting during 9/11. What happened after 2016 election? I can’t even stand listening to NPR because of the fake, negative & biased news. Sorry, I stopped supporting. You’re just like CNN, MSNBC, ABC & CBS. Always bashing President Trump. Say something positive for a change.

    1. Hi. Allow me to give you an actual answer. What happened is that as time went by since 9/11 great NPR journalists like Robert Seigle were retired and replaced with 20 something year old kids who just got out of their gender studies classroom like Allison Stewart and the tone became increasingly biased towards a ‘progressive’ standpoint.

    2. @Deborah Anderson how has that worked out? you stupid fuck

    3. @D4md Cykey you should get yours evaluated yourself dumbfuck

    4. @Deborah Anderson I have and will continue to vote for what I believe in. I’m an American first. These party line battles has blurred to the point of ( we don’t know what the truth is any more ). Sort of like you have to take a leap of faith in what you let into your home. I believe most everyone has a good nature intention toward their family and neighbors. Thanks for your response, I wish you well.

    5. @D4md Cykey thanks for your positive out reach to humanity.

  18. By taking and/or blocking PPE and ventilators from other countries. n_n

    Also, by taking and/or blocking PPE and ventilators from their OWN hospitals. o.O;

Because the US is a death cult which should be disbanded. D:<

    1. TreeHairedGingerAle agree. And then the audacity of blaming China, when it is the usa that takes no precautions, and offers no assistance to others. This is fake news, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it is discovered that the us government has perpetrated this…

  19. Did I just whitness a worker stacking sterile masks bare handed at the beginning of this video?

  20. NPR: WE claim to be unbiased and every single employee is a liberal…..

  21. NPR is a globalist joke

    1. @seansurfn2 I’m not the one with my head stuck so far up the ass of trump that all I can see or hear is praise praise praise from far right groups… 🙂

Stop sipping on the Jim Jones Koolaid, its cyanide and its poisoning your brain… The entire world easily sees what is happening accept for you people because your wearing his ass as a hat…

Try to get your news from somewhere besides Fox News, Breitbart, The Blaze, Infowars, Daily Caller and so on… It puts you into an echo chamber where of coarse your going to hear praise praise praise and they filter your news so you never hear the inconvenient things… You only hear praise for the King…

When someone is so tribalist and so ignorant that they allow themselves to be put in a bubble so their snowflake ears dont have to hear anything that might be inconvenient, they just turn themselves into a puppet and all the groups they have surrounded themselves with are the puppetmaster’s strings tugging on them…

    2. @GreatDaneLoverz says the stupid fucking sheep

    3. Nothing to see here… Move along… It’s just a dilutional Trump supporter…

  22. Trump2020
