Loading ....

Does your car’s interior smell terrible? This video will show you how to fix that. I go over how to eliminate odors, including mouse smells, garbage smells, musty / mold smells, body odor smells, and more. I show you 5 steps that I took to make my car’s interior smell great. These steps include:

1) Removing the source of the smell
-Mouse Traps
-Rubber Gloves

2) Disinfecting your vent system (Spray Disinfectant, deodorizing)
-Lysol disinfectant spray

3) Changing your cabin air filter
-Cabin air filter (MK5 Volkswagen)

4) Hanging an air freshner
-Little trees vanillaroma

5) Carpet cleaning your carpets and seats
-Carpet shampoo, pet odor eliminating

These steps will help kill bacteria, musty / mildew smells, and remove mousy / rodent urine and dropping smells. Additionally, this will make your interior look better. This is a combination of odor absorber, cleaners, charcoal, and more to remove bad smells from your carpets, vents, and seats.

  1. Here are the products I used to help deodorize my interior and make it smell great!

    -Mouse Traps
    -Rubber Gloves
    -Lysol disinfectant spray
    -Cabin air filter (MK5 Volkswagen)
    -Little trees vanillaroma
    -Carpet shampoo, pet odor eliminating

  2. My car smells like rotting trash as soon as I get into it. But once the AC is on, it goes away?!

    1. You may have something rotting in your car, or in part of the vent system that isn’t used during AC use

  3. Who tf has rats in their car?

    1. A lot of people actually rats climb into their not knowing it is a machine

    2. My father had one make a nest in his air filter. It was also full of bird seed the rat had collected from the neighbors bird feeder. He lives in the country and his truck was in a closed garage. The mechanic discovered it when changing the filter. The rat was actually aggressive when they tried to get it out of there. So, it happens!

    3. Lots of people unfortunately

  4. Thanks boss man, gonna try these tomorrow. I have a 2005 BMW X3 and the battery compartment is in the trunk and a mouse in there, it smells awful so I’m not sure if ine died but I saw the living one and couldn’t remove it, I filled my car with shake away and peppermint oil though so I will try this tomorrow and see if I can get rid of the smell, I miss my car a lot and wanna drive it again.

  5. I did all these things and the smell is still there. Your video was worthless. A total waist of my time.

    1. Then you’ve done everything you can on your own. Maybe take it for professional detailing – maybe an ozone treatment would help?

    2. You probably have a mouse nest in your door

    3. Sell the car then

    4. Waist? Your improper use of the English language is worthless….

    5. Then you didn’t go a good enough job. It worked perfectly for me and many others

  6. Dude, if you have mice in your car it’s time to get a new one!!! Fuck the traps!

  7. Thanks Cash, great tips.I just got an 05 Taurus SE in mint condition with only 40,000 pampered miles on it. Drove it home, and mice ran out from the engine compartment lol. They wern’t in there very long, car only sat six months, but there is a funky smell in the interior.

  8. The rat in the car is a new one for me. Never knew that. Hey thanks so much for sharing.

  9. Who has mice in their car?

    1. a computer repair tech

    2. Some people live out of town and it seems like when a car is sitting for a while the mice move in

    3. Yes unfortunately

    4. You can get them anywhere if your car sets for a little bit of time, I left my car at the airport for 30 days and came back with a mouse nest under my hood and wires chewed up
