personal hygiene tips! I have some MUST FOLLOW personal hygiene tips to use while depressed. Depression is one of the most frequently diagnosed mental health disorders. Self care, hygiene and overall health can be affected when feeling depression. I will offer a how to routine for self care, cleaning motivation, and wellbeing to help manage daily tasks while experiencing depression. My advice has been used many times by my own clients for their self care during depression.

  2. The feeling of getting out of the shower is just so refreshing. Sometimes when we get bogged down with too many things to do and it get’s so overwhelming, showering helps clear out the mind too.

  5. Showering has been so hard for me that I cry at times. I only shower in the morning an hour before work bc I can’t handle it after a whole day.
    If I’m not going to work, then I simply don’t shower. That lasts for 2-3 nights for the weekend. I wash my hair once a week if I’m lucky. My hair is always in a bun bc I don’t brush it or style it.
    I usually choose between brushing my teeth or showering. I can’t do both at the same time, ever.

  8. I love your tip about setting an alarm on our personal phone to set reminders. I also use my calendar for important tasks I need to complete, including taking any meds when I’m not feeling well. 🙂

  12. i’ve noticed that even doing activities involving personal hygiene has proved to help those who suffer from depression. i think because of it being a version of self-care, it can help make a depressed individual have a higher self-esteem. thanks so much for sharing!
