  2. What I supplement. Always magnesium, acerela powder, d3. Copper if I don’t eat liver (normally as pate or few raw in tartare). K2 if I don’t eat fermented food (rare normally when not at home). Iodine and krill oil when I don’t eat fish. Iodine also if I see something wrong on skin. Sometime I use spore probiotics with enzymes. When I eat coocked food I add collagen gelatin to enhance digestion. Now, can I ask this beautuful and wise girl a video on Vitamin C (including supplements)? It’s not so easy I tried with fish roe but not getting enough. Due to covid I can’t order raw milk so acerola is my best choice. But it’s not cheap. Yes and it’s plant food but my diet is not a cult. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜˜

  3. why u keep making the 666 hand symbols in this video

  7. “Always make sure to get them in spring water”. Why?

  10. Where can you get the liver capsules in Australia?

    1. Here!

  11. Can you eat egg drop soup on the carnivore diet?

    1. Yes

  12. People need to be open minded regarding some vitamin deficiency on a carnivore diet . It does happen , not for all people , but you may have a imbalance from previous eating , or have a digestive disorder ( that you are trying to heal ) , which may effect what you can absorb . Check out videos from EO nutrition or others …..dont assume that the carnivore diet is the silver bullet for all ……Its the same as thinking the vegan diet is perfect for all …when you look into Oxalate overloading (from eating spinach/sweet potatoes /Chocolate etc ) … realize being too dogmatic can lead you into nutritional difficulties ( look up videos from Sally K Norton ) …….Be open , there is no team to join ….just try to find what works for you ….cheers

  13. you’re easy to look at

  14. What country are you from? Iโ€™m from US/Pennsylvania

    1. Health Coach Kait thatโ€™s awesome!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. I’m from Canada but live in Australia!

  15. I like pink Himalayan salt.

    1. Redmans sea salt is the best salt in the world!!

  16. What about vitamin k vitamin e Iโ€™m carnivore but worry about missing these vitamins

    1. Animal foods are the best source of K. Egg yolk, liver, cheese, butter. Fish are a good source of E – salmon, cod, etc.

  17. I did carnivore diet for one day and got scurvy. Donโ€™t do it guys.

  18. Best carnivore channel on YouTube ๐Ÿ™ love watching your videos

    1. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

  19. I eat the carnivore diet, eating liver and rare steaks and was getting scurvy. Bleeding sore gums. I developed crohns as a teenager, so maybe I need more vitamin C because of being on meds previously and the weakened gut.

  20. I’ve been doing this diet for a coup,e of weeks,OMAD but get a little hungry in the early evening, can I eat a little good yogurt at these times???

    1. Ya, do what works for you. In the grand scheme of things, a bowl of yoghurt isn’t going to derail you.

  21. Hi Kait. I have hypertension. Is carnivore suitable for me? I have been doing carnivore but since then my heart has become heavier and more irregular than my norm, please advise! Thanks ๐Ÿ˜Š

  22. Dumb question but can I just put the collagen powder in a glass of water? I don’t drink coffee

    1. Yep!

  23. Scurvy was “discovered” after sailors’ bones and teeth deteriorated on a diet of mostly GRAINs. When they ate oranges or sauerkraut (vit c) they improved.

it’s very possible that scurvy is not actually a vit c deficiency, but that vitamin C simply lessons the massive harm done by toxic grains.

But grains are the cheapest “food” to mass produce, so it’s much more convenient for the public to believe grains are fine, and scurvy is a vit c deficiency.

  24. Kati…. do you take 6 tablets all at once of the beef liver or do you split up thru the day!!

    1. At once ๐Ÿ™‚

  25. I have used SO many supplements through the years. Now i dont use any, and i dont feel any difference what so ever. The last thing to go was vitamin D.

  26. Dan likes pouring collagen on his steaks.. I’m going to start putting it on things.

  27. Can I pls know that eating fried chicken is okay for canivore diet?

    1. If you’re talking KFC chicken then no… Breaded and fried in toxic oils…

  28. Hi Kait….So I’v been taking grass fed paleovalley organ complex, ever since I started carnivore 2 1/2 months now. Pretty much all I could find at the time on fb here in Hawaii. You get beef liver, heart and kidney in every capsule. Any comment?

  29. you know you kinda look like a tiger lol =p

  30. wait..what if we want scurvy?

  31. Please check out all the latest studies. The less animal foods the better the health. No noticeable difference between plant based or vegans

  32. If I’m alergic to seafood

  33. Kait, is that original art…the tree pic? I soak my liver in cream with salt. Helps to cut that bitter mineral taste.๐Ÿงšโ€โ™€๏ธ

    1. It’s a print from this artist

  34. For electrolytes I’ve been using Ultima Replenisher

    1. @Health Coach Kait yes. Robb Wolfs company

    2. LMNT is the best

    3. Does this brand add glucose? I cant find one without.

  35. Would psylium powder contradict the benefits from a carnivore diet?

  36. Hi kaith, whats the safest mg of potassium i should take? I dont have any cramps but i have palpitations from time to time,, had ecg but it came normal

    1. the most you should take in one day is 4000 mg

  37. The collagen powder has all kinds of additives this isnโ€™t carnivore

  38. Krill oil makes fish oil taste really good, and it’s pricy. I prefer bottled cod liver oil. Ever try Liver Jerky?

    1. I haven’t tried liver jerky! Recommend?

  39. I don’t mind liver, but I’m reading in so many videos that if we cook liver more than past the medium rare bloody stage, we destroy the vitamin C. How do I get around that? Thanks!

    1. Eat it raw or take a liver supplment:

But that aside, there is some vitamin C in muscle meat as well. And there are people who have been doing carnivore 10+ years and not eaten organs. And virtually no one has experienced signs of scurvy.

So I think the issue is more with our lack of understanding of vitamin C more than anything else ๐Ÿค”

  40. Man, I just do not like organ meats!

    1. Grassland Nutrition has your back ๐Ÿ‘

  41. I’ve heard/read eating just eggs and salmon roe will get you every nutrient you need.

  42. What cheese is the go to on the carnivore lifestyle. With all of the different types it would be cool to know what to avoid and what to grab. THANKS

  43. people on carnivore tend to duck the most critical element of such a diet, thus eliminating the lions share of the nutrition. Organ meats and bone broth. Liver, kidney, heart etc. Better than vitamins and supplements. Just make sure its an organic grass fed and finished source and you’re all set. Its a simple diet, done fk it up with add-ons.

  44. I’m so glad that I discovered you! the idea of liver pills inspired me to make me to make by my own liver pills from dehydrated liver!! such a good idea for my husband and daughter that don’t like the taste of the liver. I usually eat large slices of liver fried 30 seconds each side so they are very rare inside and this is so tasty for me!

  45. I agree, so far so good on the Carnivore diet

  46. When you eat raw meat, egg, bone marrow , milk… you don’t need any supplement at all

  47. Hey, I just stumbled on this great find. The Dystopian Vegan Future was foreseen in 1996 movie trailer. For Escape from L. a. Watch closely at the start.

  48. I love beef liver, chicken liver and hearts. How often should you consume beef liver in a week?

  49. Hi Kait, I enjoy your videos! I’ve been doing keto/carnivore and sometimes get nauseous. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

  50. I am definitely trying the Ancestral Supplements Beef Organs. I’ve been looking for this, I love liver, but it’s hard to find good fresh calf liver, or fresh chicken liver, so this is awesome. Thanks for the coupon too.

  51. I always heard that grassfed meat, bison, buffalo etc. had high levels of omega 3, is that not correct. If you freeze your krill, cod liver oil etc you’ll never get fish burps when you take it.

  52. and if you do need CARBS ONE THE CARNIVORE DIET….. RAW MILK.

  53. glad you added, AT THE start, THERE IS NO NEED FOR SUPS ON thE CARNIVORE DIET.

    1. Herb Bowler true fact. Whole plant based diets are healthy.

    2. There is even less need for supplements on a vegan diet.

  54. I only use Supplements because I workout regularly and use a sauna so I need to replace electrolytes. Collagen gives me gas

  55. Thanks for your informative videos! ๐Ÿ™‚ I just finished my breakfast of eggs an liver and I just have to say, that I love carnivore so much! I seriously don’t miss a single thing, such as sweets, plants, etc. I think I want to eat like this forever โค๏ธ

  56. Egg shells for electrolytes. I eat raw eggs with the shell like a sane person. The crazies throw out egg shells and buy a supplement made from seashells, lol.

  57. Vitamin C and glucose compete for glucose transporters so as long as your diet is void of or low in carbs and sugar then your bodies up take of vitamin C will be higher without the need for higher amounts in the diet. Basically when you’re carnivore you use vitamin C more efficiently than others

  58. you are so gorgeous Kait!

    1. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

  59. Can you have truvia with my coffee when doing this lifestyle?

    1. @Health Coach Kait All I put in my McDonald’s coffee each morn is two packets of SALT. As you noted, when one dumps processed foods, one dumps a lot of salt.

    2. I would try without it for a couple of weeks

  60. How does one know what a good quality cod liver oil is? I remember the main brand a few year’s ago had a ton of rumors surrounding the validity of their claims about it being 100%cod liver oil to begin with. And what was in it was supposedly garbage. Afraid to pay good money for a scam

  61. Hi Kait, I am going to start hardcore carnivore for a month on Sept. 1. Right now I am doing keto, 2MAD, but am thinking about doing OMAD when I start carnivore. How many calories would you recommend I eat daily on OMAD? I don’t want to eat too few calories and slow down my metabolism, b it it’s hard to cram in 1500 calories in one sitting. What would you recommend doing? Thanks!

  62. How to avoid scurvy on a carnivore diet: Don’t be on the carnivore diet.

    1. Whoooooooosh

  63. Is chicken liver ok? That was dinner today, cooked in grass fed butter.

  64. Iโ€™ve seen no Leto or carnivore dieters with signs of scurvy. Iโ€™ve seen a lot of vegans, especially frutarians, who have clear signs of scurvy, particularly degeneration of their connective tissues in the face and shrinking gums.

  65. I buy calf liver frozen and they are 113 grams apiece. I cut them in half and use one at a time. I chop them into little, little pieces and then mix into 12 ounces of beef. I make two burger patties out of that and then fry. I top with cheese, no sugar ketchup, mayo, and pickles. You get the liver and not the taste!

  66. I just add venison and elk heart and liver to my diet. Since I eat what I hunt. And itโ€™s great. I havenโ€™t tried kidney yet.

    1. That’s awesome! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

    2. Thank you for the like. Iโ€™m on day 7 of ketovore life. I started my keto journey 7 days ago but once I got into ketosis I started to transition to a ketovore style. In the first 6 days Iโ€™m down 10lbs feeling amazing and just enjoying life again.

  67. Hi Kat. Thank you for your videos as we take a deeper dive into this carnivore journey. I wanted to share a resource with you that I use for the Cod Liver Oil. It’s Lemon-Flavored….hands down the best tasting that I’d had with ZERO fishy taste. I heard about it from another fellow Carnivore person. Here’s the link. @healthcoachkait

  68. I just eat the beef tendons so I donโ€™t need to supplement with collagen ๐Ÿ˜„

  69. love the thumbnail! :D:D

  70. Bummer, the unflavored collagen you linked is out of stock.

    1. Just checked today and it’s back in stock!!! That was bad timing but if you’re quick you can still grab it for 20% off ๐Ÿ˜Š

  71. 1 question
How long are you on carnivore diet?
I’m into in keto diet now๐Ÿ˜˜

  72. I ground beef liver with my ground beef and made amazing burgers, I added mushrooms on top but Iโ€™m not carnivore but very much in love with an animal based diet… thanks for the video.

    1. Also what brand of cod liver oil do you use?!? Thanks

  73. Eating actual cod liver is awesome too! I eat a can a day. It’s great for your teeth and skin. Great video video Kait!๐Ÿ˜Š

  74. Why have you chosen Mr Saladino over Frank Tufano?

    1. Frankie for the knockout

    2. I didn’t choose anyone over the other, both out out great information. I reached out to Frank and Paul at the start of the year when I was doing livestreams to have them on my channel and pick their brains. One replied, one didn’t. Would have loved to have talked to them both.

    3. I could tell Paul got his info from Frank’s videos before Frank let it be known in his videos. It’s obvious.

  75. I eat fish every day. But even then I should probably supplement with cod liver oil.

  76. How would you compare liver capsules to multivitamins? I’ve been considering taking a multi but I understand they’re essentially outdated and may not provide much benefit if any. Asking because I have a chronic condition that leaves me with low appetite so I don’t always eat enough and fluctuate weight a lot.

  77. There is no nutrient that you canโ€™t get from animal products without supplementation. You need liver. So if you donโ€™t like liver, you can take a liver supplement (I personally love liver). That said, a liver supplement is at least a whole-food supplement.

  78. Have to take about a teaspoon of unground pink salt like a hand full of pills every morning. Otherwise I start getting tired.

  79. Kait, have a great day…..Hand Up!! (no scurvy for this old-time sailor….Aye).

  80. instead of collagen powder make bone broth or make ligament dense foods such as barbacoa. soups or dishes made from beef or lamb cheeks, feet, shanks or tails.

  81. I get my collagen from bone marrow and calf’s feet :-)) I chew the bones after 12hrs of slow cooking them :-))

  82. I’ve been wanting to include liver in my keto/carnivore diet, I was anemic when I started so I think it would be beneficial. I wonder I could make tasty liver jerky. ๐Ÿค”

  83. This question might not be as relevant but what about deodorants, creams etc?

  84. Thanks Kait good information ๐Ÿ˜Š

  85. Iโ€™ve been eating pork rinds for my collagen, and take ancestral when budget allows, and plus the owner is super nice

  86. Make liver pattรจ freeze and cut a slice to consume weekly.

  87. Grassfed beef Liver for my vitamin supplement on the carnivore diet

  88. Best form of magnesium? Great video as usual

    1. magnesium oxide works for me….seems to stave off any constipation too.

    2. i use magnesium taurate but it is for heart palpitations. ssome is better for sleep, some for constipation

  89. Just in case you don’t like organ meat will organ supplement ok to consume? Thank you.

  90. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿฅฉ

  91. Thanks for the video.

When one cuts up liver into tiny pieces and freeze… Is it left raw? Or is it cooked tiny bits? Thanks! This could be an option for me. I always hated liver as a kid, tried it as an adult and still hate it. I do like liverwurst though.

    1. @Health Coach Kait
oh my, I don’t think I’m ready for that! How can I be sure it’s safe? I am unaware of local suppliers of acceptable raw meat… All I can get is previously frozen liver from the grocery… In your opinion, would having tiny pieces of cooked and then frozen liver (sort of like making little cooked supplement pills to take later, lol) an option for me? I have an amazing ability to turn off my taste buds and gag reflex to the point that I would be able to eat this, lol But I can’t seem to do it for an entire piece of liver on my plate)

BTW, Love the video, but the quick flashes of text on the screen were too hard for me to catch on my device! I could not pause and find them fast enough, lol. Please leave them on longer next time? ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. Left raw!

  92. I am doing liver powder. Try to see if help me. Keep up r good work. Watch r videos I thinking about trying it. I get more grass fed meat and eggs. I want the benefits that it can gives. Are they anything I need to know about it just starting it.

    1. Watch my playlist ๐Ÿ˜Š

I have also just started round one of my 4-week keto to carnivore program. If all goes well, I will start round 2 in a couple of weeks. Sign up to my emails if you’re interested in joining!

  93. Very well done video ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ Thanks Kait ๐Ÿ’ซ

    1. You cooked it to much ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  94. I detest organ meats, because my cat used to eat a lot of liver and now I feel like I’m about to eat cat food or something ๐Ÿ˜€ Capsules are my way to go, I just hope they absorb nicely. I live in Poland, so I can’t say anything about brands you are recommending, but we have something called Swanson and they sell both liver capsules and cod liver oil, so I hope it will work out well.

    1. Interesting. Maybe they are smelling something off? My mind somehow tells me to not eat it when a cat/dog doesn’t eat it.

    2. @Thorazine 007 Thanks! They seem to like chicken liver, but not beef liver. Last week I gave one of my cats a piece of kidney..he had to vomit after..but at least they eat raw chicken liver. Well, good because they are cheap.

    3. @Angie Schneider lol domesticated cats are spoiled, you have to mix little chopped pieces in with wet food and add more in as you go until they become acustomed to it. It’s like raising most kids on yummy fast food, try to get them on a healthy diet and they won’t eat it.

    4. how come my cats don’t like liver, raw or cooked, even though they are organic and grass fed…I was trying to give them some chance. Well, I ate them all! LOL

  95. What’s your opinion on marine collagen?

    1. It’s good!

  96. Great video, Kate. The only ones I take are cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil.

  97. eat some liver just once a week will give you all the help you need

    1. I eat liver every day , my doctor said i need calcium

    2. Thanks once a week I can force myself

  98. I hate liver, but I do eat liverwurst, does that count? Is that enough?

    1. Yes!

  99. I do like liverwurst….does that count? I hate liver!

  100. Hi Kate, if Iโ€™m eating salmon, makerel and sardines three or more times a week. Will I be getting enough magnesium?

    1. Hard to say definitively. If you’re feeling good, no low energy, muscles cramps, etc. then no need to adjust.

  101. Thanks

  102. just eat oranges its not gonna kill you .

    1. fructose is terrible for our livers. and I miss oranges , most of all fruit. I get my C from animal based sources. I no longer damage my liver via fruit intake.

    2. Wooooosh I think the joke went right over your head. There is no need to supplement vitamin c on a carnivore diet, meat contains vitamin c ๐Ÿ‘

  103. Been on the carnivore diet for 1 year 8 months. No scurvy. ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

    1. Gluten/grains consumes massive amounts of Vit C so the C in meat is sufficient.

  104. Currently on my tablet and notebook watching this at least 2 times a piece , and two likes. Oops!

    1. Appreciate the double support Vlad! ๐Ÿ˜

  105. I talked about how the Inuit ate pretty much just animal products and didnโ€™t get scurvy in class the other day

    1. Jo Pearson the meat on the ship was old as they sailed I read vitamin c dissipates fast and fresher meat has more. So maybe on a long journey the meat was still good but vitamin c was no longer in it?

    2. @pamir what do you think is the natural human diet?

    3. Vlad Impaler no thatโ€™s bullshit when it comes to oxydised versions of longer chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which is Vitamin C. every ethnicityโ€™s got their physiques and geneticqlly disposed mineral /N3 PUFAS to RETINOL requirements etc. but in essence all human beings should be eating the same food groups regardless of race etc. like How all dog breeds ,races eat pretty much the same thing. A down regulation of Insulin and Carbohydrate metabolism makes you require around %70-80 something percent less Vitamin C . and add in the fact that fresh /raw to blue rare animal products especially the brain ,the thymus/thyroid ,ovaries ,esticles and eyes of the animal Having more than the required amounts of Vitamin C on an a almost Zero to very ฤฑnsignificantly low Carb ketosis promoting diet. and ketpnes also spare these nutrients ;Donโ€™t forget the crazy amounts of Vitamin C on Raw Milk and shellfish such as *Mussels* for even moderate carb diets.

    4. @Jo Pearson Brits got scurvy on ships cause of no fresh food, I believe. Fresh meat actually has some vitamin c, especially liver, I think.

    5. But the Brits did on ships (back in the day when they also ate more meat than now) so ethnic genetics must play a roll. Other Aboriginal populations here in Canada that lived below the arctic and subarctic would make pine needle and or rosehip tea/soup in winter months which is high in vit c. They did the same in Scandinavian countries. They must have needed it. In arctic regions they get blueberries a bit each year and some rosehips but many would have been in areas where there were little to none so I assume they evolved to not need it the same as other populations. I often wonder if us all having access to things we didn’t before (ie, now having access to, and eating, things like strawberries year round) means our bodies are adapting to require things it didn’t before. I’m interested in how the body’s needs change over many generations as certain foods are introduced to populations. My Irish ancestors had a mainly potato diet for a hundred years due to being forced off their land so it was all they could grow so can I handle eating them better than others? Now native populations have the highest rate of type 2 diabetes in Canada because sugar was introduced to them more recently and several hundred years after the UK started getting it and it made them sick initially for several generations too (as seen in the rotten teeth of skeletons of that time), and people in the tropics always had access to sugar. I wonder if in another 100 years (or longer) Aboriginal Canadians will no longer have the high diabetes rate as their bodies will have adapted to the SAD diet by then. My theory on the Inuit back then and vit c is that they, like us all, are the same as Darwins Finches

  106. Whenever you start any new โ€œdietโ€, itโ€™s important to research which nutrients youโ€™ll potentially be deficient in.

Videos like this definitely help! Thanks Kait!

  107. I am someone who cuts the liver into tiny pieces and freezes it ๐Ÿ˜‚ you have to cut them really really small though!

    1. Is it ok to swallow I can’t bite I don’t like it

    2. @Randy Alan Jones yes I like this

    3. Do you cook it and then freeze? Or do you freeze it raw?

    4. I do this too after someone suggested it here. I knock a few pieces back every day and then have my coffee.

  108. I don’t like beef liver taste either. But , over a week I can easily eat 2-3oz of it raw each day. It doesn’t taste good cooked. So , my eating it raw is just as good or even better. No cooking and it digests so much easier. If you ppl can put other terrible tasting things in your mouths , like medicines , then why not this? By the 7 th day it actually was alright , and milder.

  109. DAMN one of you hit me with the instant dislike ๐Ÿ˜… I SAID HEAR ME OUT!!!! PLZ HEAR ME OUT!

    1. some don’t probably even don’t watch and just click thumbs down

    2. That was a vegan that hit you with a dislike… They attack like flies on meat.. heh

    3. Health Coach Kait haters

    4. Vegan trolls frothing at the mouth that they cant admit they might have infact been wrong all along …

    5. Must be Laxmi little cow

  110. Oh you’re carnivore, you’re going to get scurvy ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

    1. @Health Coach Kait of course ๐Ÿ˜

    2. I hope that’s a hands up that you haven’t got scurvy! ๐Ÿ˜‚

  111. Raise your hand if you’ve managed to avoid scurvy so far! ๐Ÿ™‹

    1. @The Candida Slayer Glad you know what you’re talking about, I and other carnivores clearly have scurvy and we just don’t know it.

    2. Aye! and damned the vegan’s scurvy crew!…kidding..mostly..

    3. @The Candida Slayer keep telling us your opinion while our experiences tell us different. It makes you seem really smart and trust worthy!

    4. @The Candida Slayer Never heard of anyone getting scurvy from eating only cooked meat and I sure haven’t gotten it, are you certain about this?

    5. @Health Coach Kait thanx again for another great video.
