Why Nutrilite? Did you know that fruits and vegetables contain powerful nutrients called phytonutrients? Nutrilite pioneered phytonutrient supplements in 1934. That’s over 80 years of leading science and research.
Nutrilite supplements contain powerful quantities of phytonutrients, from the exclusive seed-to-supplement process to insure peak concentrations. This helps bridge the nutritional gap of the 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables recommended by the World Health Organization.
Nutrilite is the #1 selling brand of vitamins and dietary supplements. For more information about Nutrilite’s story, please visit

I don’t sell or endorse any supplements, powders or foods, and that makes me a little different than some you may have heard talking about supplements. It is a law of human nature that an “expert” will tend to promote just exactly what will increase the size of his paycheck.
The recommendations I give you in this video come from the reading I’ve done into the research, and years of taking care of patients in my practice. I don’t make or sell any of these supplements.
I think there are a few supplements that most of us need to take, and many other supplements that most of us can do just fine without. If you take a supplement I didn’t mention, please ask me about it in the comments below.
Here are the supplements I talk about:
1. Vitamin D –
2. Magnesium –
3. Probiotics –
4. Omega-3s –
5. CoEnzyme Q10 –
6. Zinc –
7. B Complex –
8. Vitamin K2 –

Vitamin supplements are used by people who feel like they may not be getting the full nutrition from the foods that they eat. Consider whole food supplementation instead of synthetic supplements with advice from a nutritionist and herbalist in this free video on nutritional supplements.
From pills to energy drinks… today’s dietary supplements include vitamins, minerals, herbals, botanicals, amino acids, enzymes and much more. Many of these supplements contain active ingredients that can have strong, negative – even deadly – effects in the body.
“When they went to the cath lab their heart muscles were actually completely clean, it’s just that the supplement was so strong, they had a heart attack purely due to vasospasm,” says Lee Memorial Health System toxicologist, Dr. Timothy Dougherty.
Twenty-three-thousand Americans went to the emergency room last year as a result of taking dietary supplements. Unlike prescription and over-the-counter drugs, which must be approved by the FDA before they can be marketed, dietary supplements do not require review or approval by the FDA before they can be sold.
“When a new supplement comes out that’s a miracle supplement for certain things we will see a rise in potential side effects,” says Dr. Dougherty.
Without any regulation you can’t be sure what you’re taking, from ultra-high doses of caffeine to mega-stimulants even undisclosed, illegal substances have been reported in supplements.
“I think it’s important for people to be aware of that simple fact. And then they can decide what they want to go and do from there,” says Dr. Dougherty.
Always let your health care providers know which dietary supplements you’re taking so that you can discuss what’s best for your overall health.
